We celebrated a milestone wedding anniversary, my husband and I. As a treat to ourselves, we invited our adult sons and their families to a family vacation. These shots are from a day trip to Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Missouri. If you’ve never been, it’s worth the trip.
Every time I visit the park, these bridge pilings beckon. This last visit, I finally decided to shoot some pictures. Edited to bring out the colors and the lines.
My eye is drawn to architectural elements, to lines and curves and impact, whether natural or man-made.
These are shots taken in Scottsdale with my dandy point and shoot, saved for spare moments when I could finally edit those little parts and pieces that did not please me.
While my favorite photo ops include the natural world, I still get stopped short by great architectural elements – and lines, lines and curves just ask to be captured.
